Many of the psalms praise God and speak of His wondrous works. They are vivid and invigorating. In contrast, Psalm 51 brings us low. It makes us uncomfortable. David shows us what sin does to a soul and how the only way to find relief is to repent and cast oneself completely on God’s mercy.
